The MIAMI DOLPHINS are replacing the late JIM MANDICH in the NFL team's radio booth with another former DOLPHINS player: Hall of Fame quarterback BOB GRIESE. GRIESE, the quarterback of the undefeated 1972 DOLPHINS squad, retired from calling college football for ABC and ESPN after last season, is now joining the FINS' crew alongside BEASLEY Sports WQAM-A/MIAMI morning host and NBC O&O WTVJ (TV) (NBC6)/MIAMI anchor JOE ROSE and CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WIOD-A/MIAMI morning host JIMMY CEFALO, also former DOLPHINS players, this season. GRIESE has also served as analyst for DOLPHINS preseason games on CBS O&O WFOR-TV (CBS4)/MIAMI for the last 21 years.
Also added to DOLPHINS broadcasts on a network headed by CLEAR CHANNEL Sports WINZ-A/MIAMI will be former DOLPHINS players KIM BOKAMPER and KEITH SIMS, who will split sideline analyst duties, SIMS handling home games and BOKAMPER (also a CBS4 sports anchor and former WQAM-A and WIOD-A host) on the road.
"We are very pleased to welcome BOB, KEITH and KIM to our talented broadcast team," team CEO MIKE DEE said. "Along with JIMMY and JOE, they will bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for the DOLPHINS that will appeal to a brad base of fans."
