A former host at Noncommercial KMUD/GARBERVILLE, CA left 20 acres of land and her home to the radio station in her will, reports the REDWOOD TIMES.
MARIAN MAPES-BOUCK, a musician and former staffer at Classical stations WRR/DALLAS and KFAC/LOS ANGELES (where she was MD), hosted "MARIAN'S KLASSICS" and "FROM BACH TO BOUCK" on KMUD in the 2000s until her health failed; she died in 2009.
The home is on the market for $275,000, with proceeds used for an endowment and for projects like upgrading the station's signal in northern HUMBOLDT COUNTY.
