On a very light day for FCC filings, WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP's sale of FM translator W228BY/ALLAPATTAH, FL to CLEAR CHANNEL for $200,000 is the only new deal popping up in the FCC database. The translator, at 93.5 FM and located close to downtown MIAMI, was taken silent by WAY-FM due to interference concerns but is designated to rebroadcast CLEAR CHANNEL's Talk WIOD-A/MIAMI. It formerly rebroadcast Contemporary Christian WAYF (WAY-FM)/WEST PALM BEACH.
Meanwhile, the FCC's licensing website is showing that its security certificate has expired, and as of early WEDNESDAY, the problem has not been repaired. Users entering the site with a browser security setting that checks for security certificates are being told that the site's security certificate "expired on 8/23/11 4:59p."
