CLEVELAND BROWNS radio voice and NBC affiliate WKYC-TV/CLEVELAND Sports Dir. JIM DONOVAN will be in the booth to call SUNDAY's BROWNS season opener against CINCINNATI, reports OHIO MEDIA WATCH and the WILLOUGHBY NEWS-HERALD.
DONOVAN, in his 13th year of calling the BROWNS, had a bone marrow transplant on JUNE 7th to treat a recurrence of his Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and has been out of action since, and tells the NEWS-HERALD that his doctors have given their approval for him to work the season opener. He is also coming back to Channel 3, planning to appear on the station's newscasts MONDAY.
The BROWNS are heard on a network headed by CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WTAM-A and Active Rock WMMS/CLEVELAND.
