JELLI has released what they term "a major upgrade to our JELLI app for iPHONE" (v2.0) to the iTUNES APP STORE.
The key new feature is live Group Chat. Said JELLI Founder/CEO MICHAEL DOUGHERTY, "We combine group chat with our synchronous group listening experience, which users can apply game elements (rockets/bombs, Rocks/Sucks) and voting to shape a social radio experience. We have several new streaming stations as well (indie, electronic, country, r&b, etc.). In addition, as you know, we have taken over two terrestrial radio stations in LAS VEGAS 24/7 (JELLI 94.5 FM - KXLI, and JELLI 96.7 FM - KYLI), which has always been a big part of what we are doing with JELLI."
DOUGHERTY also noted several success points from LAS VEGAS. "We've seen massive engagement with the two LAS VEGAS JELLI stations, with over 2 million user votes per month shaping the playlists and 70% of the usage coming from iPHONE. All the songs 24-hours a day are chosen by JELLI users in realtime -- a first for radio. We grew to 100,000 weekly FM listeners in the first 4 weeks with no local marketing, leveraging JELLI engagement and social features. This has created some advertising opportunities already (did a TIESTO concert ticket give away last week with HARD ROCK CASINO)."
