CROCODILE BROADCASTING has been fined $14,000 by the FCC for failure of its daytimer Spanish Tropical KGLA-A (RADIO TROPICAL CALIENTE)/GRETNA, LA-NEW ORLEANS to power off at night and also failure to properly maintain the station's public file.
Agents from the FCC, after noting that the station did not properly go off the air at sundown, performed an inspection in NOVEMBER 2010 at which the station's GM admitted that KGLA had been operating at night with reduced power for several years and could not produce a complete public inspection file.
