2011 Canadian Country Music Awards Winners Announced

The 2011 CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS took place at the COPPS COLISEUM in HAMILTON, ON last night (9/12), airing in CANADA on CBC TELEVISION. JOHNNY REID received three awards, including “Fan’s Choice Award,” “CMT Video OF The Year” and “Male Artist Of The Year.”
DEAN BRODY took home two awards including “Single of the Year” for “Trial of Life” and “Album of the Year” for “Trial of Life” as well. TERRI CLARK went home with “Female Artist of the Year” and trio HEY ROMEO took the “Group or Duo of the Year” award”. Last year’s “New Artist Showcase” winner CHAD BROWNLEE won his first CCMA for “Rising Star.”
Among the presenters and performers were LUKE BRYAN, DOC WALKER, RONNIE DUNN, MICHELLE WRIGHT, DERIC RUTTAN, CHANTEL KREVIAZUK, RON JAMES and HOWIE DOROUGH.
The awards marked the end of the 2011 CANDIAN COUNTRY MUSIC WEEK which took place in HAMILTON, ON on SEPTEMBER 9th through 12th. The 2012 COUNTRY MUSIC WEEK will take place in SASKATOON, SK from SEPTEMBER 6th through 9th, with the 2012 CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th airing live from the CREDIT UNION CENTRE.
