The father and son accused of a misdemeanor road rage attack against CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KFBK-A/SACRAMENTO sportscaster PAT WALSH in JUNE 2010 have been found not guilty by a jury in PLACER COUNTY, CA, according to attorney SAM BERNS, who represented CORY TAYLOR O'NEILL, one of the men charged in the case. The allegations against O'NEILL and his father JOHN PATRICK O'NEILL involved an incident on I-80 near AUBURN, CA in which WALSH said that a tow truck cut him off and forced him to pull over after he slowed to let a big rig into his lane, and the occupants attacked him. A four-day jury trial resulted in a not guilty verdict.
BERNS tells ALL ACCESS, "As far as I’m concerned, justice was served. This case never should have gone this far, and the only reason it did was the celebrity of the accuser. It was nothing more than a fight by the side of the road, and the jury recognized that nobody was at fault for this."
