Congrats to CUMULUS Country KATC (CAT COUNTRY 95-1)/COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, for raising over $20,000 for the ROCKY MOUNTAIN CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION, during its third annual “CAT COUNTRY CARES FOR KIDS” concert and charity auction at COWBOYS in COLORADO SPRINGS.
Artists that performed included PHIL VASSAR, CRAIG MORGAN, STEVE HOLY, BRETT ELDREDGE, JASON JONES and HUNTER HAYES. “This year’s concert was fastest sell-out in the three-year history of the event, with over 1,000 tickets purchased in just under two weeks," said KATC PD JIM MURPHY.
KATC GM/Market Manager MIKE KNAR said, “We are totally blown away by the generosity of our listeners. Country fans are well-known for caring about others, but we are humbled by the outpouring of support for the ROCKY MOUNTAIN CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION. Not only does very dollar we raise stay in COLORADO to help children and the families touched by cancer, this year’s total is well over the amount raised the previous two years combined.”
