CRTC Okays Atikokan Relay For CKPR, New Station At Kahnawake, Power Boost For CKXG

The CRTC has approved DOUGALL MEDIA/C.J.S.D. INC.'s application to add a rebroadcasting transmitter at ATIKOKAN, ON to relay the programming of AC CKPR/THUNDER BAY, ON. The new station will operate at 93.5 FM with 180 watts.
In other actions by the CRTC, the commission has approved GENERAL MANAGER OF KAHNAWAKE KEEPS IT COUNTRY STATION (BRIAN MOON)'s application for a new Type B Native FM at KAHNAWAKE, QC. The new station will operate on 89.9 FM with 610 watts maximum ERP and will air a Country format.
And NEWCAP has received the CRTC okay for a power boost at Classic Rock CKXG (102.3 K-ROCK)/GRAND FALLS, NF. The station will increase its maximum ERP from 24,000 to 36,000 at a new site with a lower antenna height.
