CBS RADIO Sports WIP-A-F/PHILADELPHIA reporter and weekend host HOWARD ESKIN's promise to bike across the country if the EAGLES lost to SAN FRANCISCO last SUNDAY -- which they did -- has gone viral, with popular sports site DEADSPIN and former SPORTING NEWS RADIO host LARRY BROWN's website among the national media holding ESKIN to his comment, made in an appearance with GARY RADNICH and LARRY KREUGER on CUMULUS Sports KNBR-A/SAN FRANCISCO FRIDAY (9/30).
"I'll take a bike from PHILADELPHIA to SAN FRANCISCO," ESKIN said. "Yes. There's no way the EAGLES go 1-3. None. Absolutely none.... They can't lose to the 49ERS." "Philadelphia, it should be noted, is approximately 2,900 miles from San Francisco," DEADSPIN's DOM COSENTINO helpfully noted.
Will he actually do it? ESKIN told the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS' DAN GROSS, "Since it's gone viral, I think I'm stuck. I need to get some routes. I'll get to see AMERICA. Every form of wildlife in the country, I'm so excited."
