EMMIS/AUSTIN VP/Programming and Operations CHASE RUPE tells ALL ACCESS, "I am pleased to announce that B-DOE is officially the new afternoon host and CJ is the new night-time host on Classic Rock KLBJ-F. B-DOE has been with KLBJ for eight years in various capacities and has grown into a tremendous air talent that the audience and clients have grown to love. I commend B-DOE for his passion for radio and his loyalty to EMMIS (and patience I may add). I am confident that he will continue to do a tremendous job for us."
Continuing, RUPE said, "CJ has been with EMMIS for the past four years in various roles, including promotions and on-air. He is one of the most creative people we have had in the building, and this is a real opportunity for him to expand his creativity and to help us expand our reach into ever-changing digital platforms. CJ will continue his work in promotions and will be live at night on KLBJ."
"A quick aside," added RUPE, "a big 'thank you' to KIRSTEN for all of her help during the transition. She will remain in middays and continue her role as the APD/MD for KLBJ-F, a.k.a. 'my right arm that does all of the heavy lifting around here!'"
