The Chapter 11 filing of ROBERTS BROADCASTING does not include the company's only radio property, Urban WRBJ-F/JACKSON, MS. The radio station is owned by ROBERTS RADIO BROADCASTING, LLC, a separate entity from the TV group.
ROBERTS filed for bankruptcy for its television operation, including MY NETWORK TV affiliate WRBU-TV (MY46)/ST. LOUIS and CW affiliates WAZE-LP-WIKY-LP-WJPS-LP (CW19)/EVANSVILLE, IN; WZRB-TV (CW47)/COLUMBIA, SC; and WRBJ-TV (CW34)/MAGEE-JACKSON, MS. The stations' debt totals over $3 million with assets at over $800,000; A ruling by a judge in CALIFORNIA that the company owes WARNER BROS. $1.4 million for programming aired on the TV stations preceded the suit.
