Minor league baseball's CHARLESTON (SC) RIVERDOGS have named SEAN HOUSTON as the team's new Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations. HOUSTON, who worked as Broadcasting and Media Relations Assistant for the LAKEWOOD BLUE CLAWS in 2011 and for the TAMPA BAY RAYS in 2009-10, replaces DANNY READ, who left the team in AUGUST to become the voice of THE CITADEL.
"We're excited to announce SEAN's hiring as our new director of broadcasting & media relations," said GM DAVE ECHOLS. "He has proven himself through his previous work to be an up-and-comer in the business, and we are pleased to have him as part of our organization.""I could not be more excited to join the RIVERDOGS," said HOUSTON. "It is a topnotch organization run by well-respected professionals, and it is located in a beautiful city. I am anxious to get to work, and look forward to continuing the tradition of great broadcasters the RIVERDOGS have had before me."
