An interview by CBS RADIO Sports WFAN-A/NEW YORK's MIKE FRANCESA ended abruptly when NEW YORK JETS cornerback DARRELLE REVIS hung up on the afternoon host FRIDAY afternoon.
FRANCESA asked REVIS several questions about his 100-yard interception return against the MIAMI DOLPHINS MONDAY night, repeatedly insisting that REVIS should have been called for interference. "You are still the only one in the world who doesn't think that was a penalty," FRANCESA said, to which REVIS responded, "I don't care! I don't care what everybody thinks! I don't care what you think, I don't care what the whole world thinks ... You're good at interviewing, I'm good at what I do. Just leave it at that." After JETS public relations staffer JARED WINLEY interrupted and told REVIS to stop and hang up, the interview was over.
WINLEY later called back to apologize for cutting the interview short, and FRANCESA accepted, according to the station.
