NPR "ALL THINGS CONSIDERED" host MICHELE NORRIS will step away from her hosting duties at the end of this week while her husband BRODERICK JOHNSON serves as Senior Advisor to President OBAMA's re-election campaign. NORRIS will continue to work at NPR as producer and reporter on non-campaign-related stories and projects for the duration of the campaign.
"This has all happened very quickly," NORRIS wrote in an e-mail to staff that has been posted at the NPR website, "but working closely with NPR management, we've been able to make a plan that serves the show, honors the integrity of our news organization and is best for me professionally and personally."
