ALL ACCESS has confirmed that CUMULUS Classic Rock KLOS/LOS ANGELES PD BOB BUCHMANN has exited. Reach BOB at bob@bobbuchmann.com. Also night icon JIM LADD has also been let go.
BUCHMANN told ALL ACCESS, "I'm so proud of and thankful for my team at KLOS, and wish them the best going forward. Over the last three years, we broke so many records posted by that iconic station since it signed on as a rocker in 1969. Together we brought it the highest ARBITRON shares it had ever seen in Adults 25-54, posted so many #1 Men 25-54 rankers, and increased its PPM cume by 65%. MARK & BRIAN shattered records, and even the famous Blood Drive broke the 10,000 pint mark! We became the top rocker in town for long stretches, and with the legendary company we keep on the L.A. dial, we couldn't have been more proud. It's been a fantastic run and a personal blessing, although far too short when I think about 20 years in NASSAU/SUFFOLK and 10 in NEW YORK."
Upwards of 20 folks have left the building, including, N/T KABC-A Production Director HOWARD HOFFMAN (310) 346-0800 or hoho@howardhoffman.com, KLOS Production Director MIKE SHERRY, KLOS LSM VERNON COPP, and KABC-A & KLOS NSM LEONARD MADRID.
As of now, UNCLE JOE BENSON will move into afternoons from weekends, and GARY MOORE will now do 7p-12mid and the MIKE VOGEL THIRD SHIFT will do 12mid-5a, when MARK & BRIAN come on.
