VIRGIN RADIO's 2011 Shave To Save campaign has raised $200,000 to benefit the QUEBEC BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION. VIRGIN RADIO listeners responded to the call of their favorite radio station, and donated money to have VIRGIN RADIO personalities show up at their offices, and their schools, to shave heads.
"Not only has VIRGIN RADIO’s Shave To Save raised a lot of money for breast cancer research, but it’s become a huge viral campaign as well," VIRGIN RADIO Promotions Dir. MELISSA DIMAKOS SAID. "Everyone who shaves their head is a walking awareness campaign. It’s extremely powerful seeing women and children doing it, especially young female adolescents,"
VIRGIN RADIO’s Shave To Save will help the QUEBEC BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION to fund more research projects, more awareness and education programs, and more support programs.
