ALL ACCESS' CPR Promotion Overlord, CLIFTON RADIO VP Fun & Games PAIGE NIENABER, checks in to offer some more high and lowlights to radio antics on HALLOWEEN.
Thriller
Z94.7/GRAND FORKS with ZAC DANIELS channeled MICHAEL JACKSON this morning. In addition to presumably shrieking "Ye hee!," MICHAEL said it was all his fault because he kept begging Dr. CONRAD for his "milkshake" of tranquilizers. JAMMIN’ in NEW LONDON also had MICHAEL pop in. Busy day for MICHAEL and AMY WINEHOUSE. FALCO, for a sixth straight year, went unchanneled.
Fritsch Or Treat
FRITSCH is part of the JEFF AND JENN morning show at Q-102/CINCINNATI. Sometimes you just need a name. It hit me in a hotel room in GERMANY. Shot it to the guys at HUBBARD ... voila! From JEFF THOMAS:
"Fritsch Or Treat." The listeners convinced her to dress up as a drunk bridesmaid (story of FRITSCH's life). Then we sent her to a local business that bombarded us with requests for her to visit them and hand out Halloween candy. (In accompanying pic, FRITSCH is the blonde in red)We also did our station promotion: "Trick or Treat on Q102 Street." Caller 20 picks a jock whose door to knock on. Each jock has a different prize - anything from "Breaking Dawn" premiere passes to restaurant gift cards. If they picked me, Count JEFFula, they got a whammy prize.
TONIGHT from 6-8p, Q102 will be playing non-stop, uninterrupted, scary HALLOWEEN music that people can blast out their windows while the trick-or-treaters come knocking.
As God Is My Witness, I Thought Pumpkins Could Fly
TV coverage for Y108/PITTSBURGH where five listeners with pumpkins went on the roof of the arena and lobbed a pumpkin at a target. Closest to it won WWE ringside seats and a meet-and-greet with CM PUNK. Also at CBS/PITT: STAR did its haunted antique store broadcast on FRIDAY.
