Songwriter Liz Anderson Passes Away

Country music songwriter LIZ ANDERON passed away yesterday (10/31) at the age of 81, from complications of heart and lung disease. LIZ was hospitalized on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27th and was in stable condition at ST. THOMAS HOSPITAL in NASHVILLE (NET NEWS 10/28).
LIZ was the co-founder of the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL alongside her husband CASEY. ANDERSON is known for penning MERLE HAGGARD’s “Strangers.” She also wrote hits for CONWAY TWITTY, DEL REEVES, her daughter LYNN ANDERSON and many others.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5th at 11:30a (CT), at WOODLAWN-ROESCH PATTON FUNERAL HOME in NASHVILLE. The funeral home can be contacted at (615) 256-3354.
