Syndicated home improvement show THE MONEY PIT has once again renewed its partnership deal with long-running PBS series "THIS OLD HOUSE."
Under the deal, which continues a relationship launched in 2009, the TV show's host KEVIN O'CONNOR, general contractor TOM SILVA, plumbing and heating expert RICHARD TRETHEWEY, and landscape contractor ROGER COOK join radio hosts TOM KRAEUTLER and LESLIE SEGRETE on their show each week for a segment; the feature airs on the show's over 285 affiliates, SIRIUS XM RADIO, online at MONEYPIT.COM, and through the radio show's podcast. In 2012, MONEY PIT MEDIA and THIS OLD HOUSE VENTURES will leverage the TV show, THIS OLD HOUSE Magazine, the radio show, and both websites to offer exclusive integrated sponsorship opportunities, and a TV special produced by THE MONEY PIT will feature the THIS OLD HOUSE crew as they finish production of the current series with a restoration of the NATHANIEL PAGE Homestead in BEDFORD, MA, built circa 1720.
"THE MONEY PIT and THIS OLD HOUSE are a magical combination," said KRAEUTLER, who also serves as CEO of MONEY PIT MEDIA. "Despite challenges in the housing market, this partnership has grown and made a real difference for our audience and sponsors."
THIS OLD HOUSE's VP/Television Operations MICHAEL BURTON added, "Our partnership with THE MONEY PIT provides our viewers with a chance to hear from our guys on a weekly basis with smart tips and great insights into their everyday DIY challenges. We are pleased to be continuing the partnership and are looking forward to building on this relationship."
