Condolences to family and friends of former HOUSTON radio personality DENNIS MAURICE "CRASH" COLLINS, who died SUNDAY of complications from prostate cancer at 68, according to the HOUSTON CHRONICLE.
COLLINS started his career at the UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON, where he worked at the school's noncommercial KUHF-F/HOUSTON. He then moved to KLOL, where he worked three times in his career; he also worked at KILT, KULF, KNUZ-F, and KZFX/HOUSTON and KFWD/DALLAS and was inducted into the TEXAS RADIO HALL OF FAME last year. He later operated a software company, DAISI.
