Report: WWDL/Wilkes-Barre Is Playing Everything

According to the WILKES BARRE SCRANTON DAILY, LANE BROADCASTING Hot AC WWDL (NEW 104.9)/SCRANTON, PA has changed their call letters to WWRR and is positioning itself as "105 THE RIVER." According to sources in the market, the station has flipped to an Adult Hits format playing everything from Disco to Rock. 

The station -- along with sister stations WYCK-A and WICK-A -- has been managed by prospective owners BOB VANDERHEYDEN and VINCENT BENEDETTO (under their BOLD GOLD MEDIA GROUP partnership) since JUNE of 2005. The sale is still pending FCC approval from previous owner DOUGLAS LANE, who is expected to be sentenced on sexual abuse charges next month.
