Gayle King Joins New CBS TV Morning Show, Will End SiriusXM Show

GAYLE KING told a press conference held to announce the new CBS television morning show of which she will be one of the hosts that she will give up her SIRIUSXM radio show and OPRAH WINFREY NETWORK TV show to devote her energies to the new effort. KING, who has hosted the radio show at the satellite service and predecessor XM RADIO since 2006, said she will continue to work for WINFREY's O MAGAZINE as Editor-at-Large.
KING, CHARLIE ROSE, and ERICA HILL have been named to host the as-yet-unnamed new show, which will air weekdays 7-9a (ET) and is replacing "THE EARLY SHOW." CBS NEWS VP. Programming CHRIS LICHT will serve as Executive Producer of the new show, which will launch on JANUARY 9th.
