CBS INTERACTIVE MUSIC GROUP’s LIVE ON LETTERMAN concert webcasts were honored with an ADVERTISING AGE Media Vanguard Award for offering a superior broadcast-to-digital series featuring some of the most celebrated artists in the music world. Hundreds of entries were cast, and Live on Letterman webcasts were deemed "Best Live Webcast Series."
Cited for offering "essentially free full-fledged concerts," LIVE ON LETTERMAN began in late 2009, and since then, the series has catered to music lovers around the globe with webcasts from artists such as JOHN MAYER, MARY J. BLIGE, MGMT, KATY PERRY, TAYLOR SWIFT, BRAD PAISLEY, BON JOVI, ADELE, SNOOP DOGG, FOO FIGHTERS, COLDPLAY and PETER GABRIEL. ADVERTISING AGE noted that "this spring’s nearly two-hour AT&T-sponsored FOO FIGHTERS show featured the group in skinny suits and ties, rocking out in a black-and-white webcast that paid homage to the BEATLES’ legendary performances on ‘The Ed Sullivan Show.’”
ADVERTISING AGE’s 2011 MEDIA VANGUARD AWARDS seek to recognize and honor innovative media companies who use technology to create "transformative, next-generation media" to expand their company’s reach and connect with their audiences in new and innovative ways.
