EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is selling Contemporary Christian WRCK/UTICA, NY to ROSER COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK, INC. for $425,000. EMF acquired the WRCK calls in a three-way deal from GALAXY COMMUNICATIONS in 2007 and swapped them to the former WKVU last DECEMBER.
In other filings with the FCC, RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY, INC. is selling FM translator K254AX/REXBURG, ID to IDAHO STATE UNIVERSITY for $31,500. The station has a permit to move to channel 201.
TED W. AUSTIN, JR. has applied for a Silent STA for KJNT-A/JACKSON, WY due to the loss of the station's lease on its tower property. Ha has also filed to take K266AU/WEST YELLOWSTONE, MT and K284BI/ALPINE, WY dark, saying that he had operated the stations "as a public service" but that economic circumstances make it "prudent to suspend operations for the time being."
NASSAU BROADCASTING has applied for debtor-in-possession status for its stations. The move follows the company's successful bid to change an involuntary Chapter 7 case filed against it by its creditors to a Chapter 11 voluntary bankruptcy.
MAUDE J. BURDETTE has closed on the sale of Classic Hits KBUX/QUARTZSITE, AZ to MARVIN VOSPER for $230,000.
And NEW WORLD BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of Ethnic WURN-A (RADIO MEGA)/KENDALL-MIAMI, FL to ACTUALIDAD LICENSEE 1020AM, LLC for $7 million The buyer, through parent company UNION RADIO NETWORK OF FLORIDA, LLC, has brokered the station since OCTOBER 2008.
