Condolences to family, friends, and co-workers of longtime CNN RADIO anchor STAN CASE, who died TUESDAY (11/22) of injuries sustained in a car accident in BIRMINGHAM, AL. The JEFFERSON COUNTY Coroner's Office said that CASE died in a head-on two-vehicle collision at Bankhead Highway and Pratt Highway after a pickup truck apparently crossed a median into CASE's lane.
CASE, who was 59, joined CNN in 1985 from KEBC-A/OKLAHOMA CITY, where he worked from 1979 through 1985. A licensed attorney, he was a past President of the OKLAHOMA CITY NEWS BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION.
STAN's wife ANGELA STIEPEL CASE was also injured in the accident and is recovering in the hospital.
