Condolences to the family and friends of Industry legend STUART LOVE, who passed away last WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd. He was 63.
MVP ENTERTAINMENT's SAM KAISER told ALL ACCESS, "STUART ALAN LOVE worked for CLIVE DAVIS at COLUMBIA RECORDS from 1971 to 1973 as Head of East Coast A & R. He helped sign many successful artists to CBS, including JOHN MCLAUGHLIN, THE MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA and the underground band, GENTLE GIANT. He left CBS to form his own company, OPEN LOVE PRODUCTIONS. He signed and recorded LOU GRAMM of the group BLACK SHEEP, who went on to become lead singer for the Platinum-selling band FOREIGNER. As a producer working with RICK CHUDACOFF and PETER BUNNETA, STUART signed a #1 worldwide hit with MATTHEW WILDER's, 'Break My Stride.' STUART as a producer had a # 1 hit with NICK GILDER's, 'Hot Child In The City,' for CHRYSALIS RECORDS."
