CUMULUS MEDIA NETWORKS' "RED EYE RADIO" will have new hosts starting JANUARY 3rd, as the syndicator's "MIDNIGHT RADIO NETWORK" co-hosts GARY MCNAMARA and ERIC HARLEY take over the "RED EYE RADIO" banner from DOUG MCINTYRE and affiliates of "MIDNIGHT" will be offered the new "RED EYE RADIO" show 1-6a (ET).
"Adding ERIC and GARY to our versatile lineup of talk programming is a fantastic opportunity for the network and provides two dynamic personalities to our affiliates," said SVP/Affiliate Sales and Broadcast Operations DENNIS GREEN. "This is another daypart where we can offer high-quality solutions to stations looking for relevant content that connects with local audiences. We truly appreciate the road map DOUG has created for delivering overnight listener engagement with RED EYE RADIO and we're proud that he will continue to be part of our company."
"We're thrilled to be taking up the RED EYE RADIO banner to deliver the day's top stories along with our own blend of 'regular guy' perspectives to an even larger audience," said HARLEY. "GARY and I love keeping our listeners informed and entertained as they tune in throughout the early morning hours. We'll be working with each of our new affiliates to make sure we're giving them a great platform to attract overnight audiences and advertisers."
Now, is MCINTYRE headed to a role he's handled before, this time with a familiar L.A. radio voice as his on-air anchor/co-host?
