Sick Puppies

"There's No Going Back" is the lead single from Australian band, Sick Puppies upcoming third and most ambitious album, entitled Connect. It was released on July 16th via Virgin/Capitol.
This new album is the follow up to 2009's Tri-Polar, which produced their commercially most successful international single to date, "Maybe". There were nearly half a million units to date and over 2 million singles sold and its slew of radio hits-the #1 Rock track "You're Going Down" and the Top Five Alternative/Active Rock hits "Odd One" & "Riptide". This new album, Connect, with its melding of room-filling rockers and edgy yet poignant lyrics, is poised to be the lineup's best-selling record yet. Even with Connect's myriad lyrical and musical layers, the record still manages to breathe.
Vocalist, Shimon Moore said this single is "An anthem-type of song. It's about taking control of your life and trying to be the person you were born to be."
The trio, which is made up of vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Shimon Moore, bassist Emma Anzai and drummer Mark Goodwin was founded in 1999 while Moore and Anzai were still in high school. They recently wrapped their summer tour and musically, the tour was a conglomeration of old songs and new songs.
"We are trying to get to the next level musically and it's (the tour) going to be the best of both world's from the first record and second record. We are excited to get out there and see everyone. We can't wait to get playing these songs to see what everyone thinks," said Moore. "If you have ever seen a Sick Puppies show it is going to be better than the last and if they haven't seen a Sick Puppies show it's a chance of a lifetime. I believe that we succeeded in making an album that will stand the test of time," Moore concludes with a laugh. "At least I hope so!"
