3 Years Hollow
Jan 18, 2015
3 Years Hollow's single, "For Life" is a mesmerizing and powerful rocker that's been years in the making and it finally came together in the studio with an assist from Sevendust's Clint Lowery, who delivers a blistering guitar solo on the track. The song can be found on their The Cracks album.
Front-man Jose Urquiza reveals "'For Life' is a song we've been playing for a long long time and it's finally getting out there. The story is very personal to me because of the song's subject matter. Throughout my life I've faced a lot of adversity, bullying, abuse, etc. and there are definitely very powerful demons that I fight on a daily basis because of those experiences. A lot of the time I wouldn't have been able to overcome those demons if I didn't have people around me looking out for me and caring for me. Sometimes I get pulled down a path and I don't even realize until it's too late. This is sort of the story of overcoming those demons and more specifically about those that hold you up and pull you back in when you need it the most."
The Quad Cities quintet is made up of Jose Urquiza (vocals), Tony Reeves (guitar), Neil Kuhlman (guitar), Dex Digga (bass) and Chris Cushman (drums). Over the past decade, the group has solidified itself as one of the Midwest's most incendiary and infectious young acts. Their breakout independent single "Remember" charted at #1 on Octane, while "Chemical Ride" is closing in on 400,000 YouTube views. In 2012, they emerged as regional victors during the Ernie Ball-sponsored Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival "Battle of the Bands". 3 Years Hollow has shared the stage with everybody from Papa Roach to Buckcherry.
