Hollywood insiders believe "John Wick 3" could unseat "Avengers: Endgame" at the box office this weekend --at least in the US. Experts say the KEANU REEVES movie could make between $30-40 million, and if the "Avengers" movie drops like it has in past weeks, it could take a second place should "John Wick 3" make it to the high end of the box office nut.
On the other hand, if "Avengers: Endgame" stays at number one, it'd be the first film since "Black Panther" to stay on top of the box office for four consecutive weeks. "Black Panther" did it for five weeks back in early 2018.Have it your way: The folks who run the McDonalds in Austria have made a deal with the US Embassy there for tourists --if you're American and lost your passport, they'll put you in touch with the US Embassy there.
Turns out that it was the Embassy which contacted the McDonalds management because of the fast-food restaurant's fame among US folks and because they have a lot of branches in the country.
But let's be honest --they're only committing to get you in touch with the Embassy --not issue new passports of anything else.Lotsa talk about parents who named their children after "Game of Thrones" character Khaleesi. According to the Social Security Administration, which keeps track of such things, there were 560 girls named Khaleesi last year alone, which could prove to be a problem in school later in life. And the folks who named their daughter Daenerys might be having second thoughts after her character turned onto to a murderous woman.
On the other hand, "Game of Thrones" names *were* popular in 2018 --with names including Jamie, Yara, Jon, Daenerys, Renly and Shae as well as the most popular name in the series, Arya, which had 2,545 children named after her in 2018.
Question for listeners: did you name your child after a TV star?
PS: Meghan (as in Markle) is the fastest rising baby name for girls.
