Following "Suit & Tie," "Mirrors" and "The 20/20 Experience," Justin Timberlake has unveiled his new single "Take Back the Night.
Earlier this month, Justin Timberlake teased the Internet with the release of a video promoting his forthcoming single "Take Back the Night." In the video, he held up cue cards a la Bob Dylan (in the classic clip for "Subterranean Homesick Blues") with the corresponding release dates for his "Suit and Tie" single and his latest album, The 20/20 Experience. On July 12th, Timberlake posted a new video which revealed that the blurred date attached to the "Take Back the Night" single is "TODAY."
The new single is a stylish dance groove that reflects the same soulful R&B that populated the first part of "The 20/20 Experience." Timberlake co-wrote and produced "Take Back the Night" with Timbaland, J-Roc (who recently contributed to Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail") and frequent collaborator James Fauntleroy.
The dance-all-night anthem will serve as the lead single off "The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2," Timberlake's follow-up to "The 20/20 Experience." That album will be released on Sept. 30.
