John Newman is a British singer and musician. He is best known for the track "Love Me Again" which peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart in July of this year as well as being a featured artist on Rudimental's 2012 singles "Feel the Love" and "Not Giving In", which peaked at number one and number fourteen on the chart respectively.
"Love Me Again" is the latest single by the British soul singer, from his upcoming debut studio album Tribute. The song was released as a digital download in Europe on May 17th, except for the United Kingdom where it was released on June 30th. The song was written by Newman and Steve Booker and produced by Booker and Mike Spencer.
Newman grew up in Settle in the Yorkshire Dales. He started playing guitar and writing his own songs at the age of 14 and soon learned how to record and produce himself, even making his own house tracks and DJing. At 20 he moved to London, started a band, played live and was signed to Island Records. He released "Cheating" as a download song and plays an acoustic version of the track at gigs.
On October 6th, Newman will release "Cheating" as the second single from his debut studio album. He will release his debut studio album Tribute on October 14th.
