Justin Drew Bieber is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Bieber's current manager, Scooter Braun, first discovered him through his YouTube videos in 2007. Braun, as noted, was impressed with the videos resulting in contacting Bieber's mother, Patricia Mallette, about wanting to work with his musical abilities. Moreover, him having convinced his mother, Braun arranged for Bieber to meet with singer-songwriter, Usher, in Atlanta, Georgia. As a result, Bieber was signed to RBMG, a record label based in Atlanta, then to Island Records -- part of Def Jam Records -- with a recording contract offered by a prominent record executive, L.A. Reid.
He released his debut EP, My World, in November 2009. It has been certified platinum in the United States. He became the first artist to have seven songs from a debut record to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Bieber released his first full-length studio album, My World 2.0, in March 2010. It debuted at or near number one in several countries and was certified platinum in the United States. It was preceded by the single, "Baby", which is also, as of July 2014, the YouTube video with the most dislikes, and the most views on a Vevo platform. He followed up the release of his debut album with his first headlining tour, the My World Tour, the remix album titled, My Worlds Acoustic, and Never Say Never - The Remixes, and the 3D biopic-concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Bieber released his second studio album, Under the Mistletoe, in November 2011 when it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Bieber released his third studio album, Believe, in June 2012.
Bieber released a song titled "Home to Mama" featuring Australian singer Cody Simpson in November 2014. In February 2015, Bieber released a remix song "Where Are Ü Now, with Jack Ü. In March 2015, Bieber made an appearance in the music video for Carly Rae Jepsen's single "I Really Like You".
"Sorry" is a song recorded by Canadian singer Justin Bieber for his upcoming fourth studio album Purpose. Written by Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter and Bieber, the song was released on October 22, 2015, as an instant download with the pre-order of the album on iTunes.
A dance video for "Sorry" was released on October 22, 2015. The video, which features dancers of ReQuest Dance Crew and The Royal Family dance crew, was directed and choreographed by Parris Goebel. The video was initially intended to be a lyrics video and was eventually kept as a dance video. Describing it as "colorful, fun, and upbeat", Goebel said: " [We wanted to] just bring more life to it. We were going for a vintage '90s vibe. Me and two of my friends pretty much styled everyone. We all did our own makeup and were spontaneous... Most of it was my wardrobe, actually. We just kind of put together what we had."
