Enrique Iglesias Awarded As 'Bailando' Hits #1 In 50 Countries
Enrique Iglesias recently kicked off his co-headline tour with Pitbull at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Following the performance, Republic Records presented the performer with a plaque commemorating his current smash "Bailando" having reached #1 in 50 countries. The song, from Iglesias' tenth album "Sex + Love", recently landed in the Top 10 at Top 40 radio, marking the very first time a non-English song hit the Top 10 since Los del Rio’s "Macarena" in 1996. "Bailando" has become the "highest-charting Spanish single in the United States" to date, achieving platinum status for digital sales and streams.
