BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
Local Radio with Audacy for 5 years in Vegas and moved to California to work in Radio at Atlantic Records
1.) What station did you listen to as a kid?
KLUC / KMXB / KXTE
2.) What got you interested in the music business?
Radio
3.) How did you land your job at Atlantic Records?
Atlantic Radio Rep (now Streaming Rep) Mo Hiromoto scouted me
4.) Tell us how you manage to work for multiple bosses and multiple formats. What are some of your organizational strategies?
I manage all my bosses and formats with multiple strategies:
-
Email folders with tags
- folder for each boss
- folder for each format
- folder for each project indicating if they are active/nonactive
And every email has a home – if it is active, it is in my inbox / nonactive goes into a folder
You have to stay organized and be ahead of the curve for all projects
My brain just kind of functions this way – people always tell me I am the most organized person they have ever met; it's a blessing and a curse
5.) What's it like working for a legend like Brian Corona?
Busy, never a dull moment, the most kind & supportive friend
6.) Who are some of your favorite Atlantic artists to work with?
Tiesto, Vance Joy, Oliver Tree, Gayle, Jax, Daniel Seavey, Breland, Wallows, Charlie Puth, Coldplay, and Zero 9:36
7.) I heard you wrote a book and are working on another one. Tell us about them.
I wrote two motivational books: one is an autobiography called "In It for the Long Run" and the other is an interactive goals journal for adults called the "Adventurebook: The Complete Guide to Adulting, Goal Planning, and Everyday Life"
The books are meant for others to have an outlet to find their long-term happiness
Both are on Amazon: "In It for the Long Run"; ""Adventurebook" :
8.) You are very involved with Girls on the Run. How did you get involved with them?
I worked at the largest social services nonprofit in Southern Nevada called HELP of Southern Nevada in fundraising. When I moved to LA, I knew my life was going to be surrounded by music and I would be missing the community aspect that I crave. I found Girls on the Run online, signed up, and now have become a Sub coach and an ambassador to help with fundraising. Girls on the Run is a nonprofit that inspires girls to build confidence and other important life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and physical activity.
9.) Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Actually, I am not quite sure. I hit my dream by moving here and doing this job. This was everything I have ever wanted. I just want to be happy.
The goals I do have are to flourish in other passions, finish my other book, obtain my coaching license, and have leveled up in my life into a managerial role.
Whatever the next step is, I hope it is wonderful.
10.) Finish this sentence...I can't make it through the day without
coffee, narcolepsy is fun.
