Lo Moon
Lo Moon -- Sam Stewart (guitar), Matt Lowell (vocals, guitar), and Crisanta Baker (bass, keyboards) -- has been THE artist development story of the past 12 months or so, and we finally have the self-titled debut in our hands! The album was produced by Chris Walla and Francois Tetaz. and features guest appearances by The War On Drugs’ Adam Granduciel and Charlie Hall.
It is rare when an album comes out that has every song as a keeper, but Lo Moon have accomplished just that. In addition to “Loveless,” “This Is It” and the new single “Real Love,” other standout tracks include “Tried To Make You My Own,” “Thorns,” “Wonderful Life” and “The Right Thing.”
Of the process of becoming a band and recording Lowell told All Access, “It was such an organic process for us. We were all on the same page musically and were just so happy to be in a band where we were all searching for the same feeling musically.”
Lo Moon was one of three inaugural acts for the NPR and VuHaus Slingshot series. They’ve had recent national appearances on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” NPR’s Weekend Edition and Tiny Desk Concert, and World Cafe.
Lo Moon made itself at home on the road throughout last year - opening for Phoenix, The War On Drugs, London Grammar, Glass Animals and Ride, as well as performing at both The NONCOMMvention and The Triple A Conference. They are embarking on their own North American headlining tour in March.
