Elisabeth Corrin Maurus -- or Lissie to all of us -- has just released her third studio album, My Wild West. According to her it is a celebration of new adventures to come as she moves back to the Midwest and waves goodbye to her time in California.
The album was recorded in Nashville with producer Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses), with her band while she still lived in Ojai, Ca, and with executive producer Curt Schneider in his Studio City home.
We had already heard "Hero" and "Don't Give On Me" from My Wild West. Other strong songs on the album include "Hollywood," "Wild West," "Daughters" and "Ojai."
Lissie said this album is a "deeply personal musical chronicle of the 12 glorious years I spent in California! It is also a new chapter for me as an independent artist who's relocated to a farm in Iowa! I was very hands on in its creation."
Lissie has opened for many artists including Lenny Kravitz and Tom Petty, as well as had many headlining tours. Many of the songs she has written or collaborated on have been synced. She is currently touring Europe and The U.K. with dates in U.S. starting in March.
