St. Paul & The Broken Bones
Sep 18, 2016
Birmingham's eight-piece retro soul band St. Paul & The Broken Bones burst onto the scene a few years ago with their debut album, Half The City. Not only did they find success at Triple A radio in America, but they also were quite successful in the U.K. and Europe.
Paul Janeway and the band now return with the self-produced Sea Of Noise. This outing finds the band with more depth to their sound, more sophisticated arrangements and a great collections of songs. In addition to the single "All I Ever Wonder," check out "Midnight On The Earth," "Burning Home," "Waves" and "Brain Matter."
In a recent Wall Street Journal article, Janeway said of the new album, "This album more reflects our tastes compared to Half the City. To me, it's like past, present and maybe the next (album) is the future."
St. Paul & The Broken Bones have appeared on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and "CBS Saturday Morning." They were featured on NPR's "All Things Considered." The band has an extensive tour in North America before they head over to Europe in the New Year including The Austin City Limits Festival.
