Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa & Ty Dolla $ign
Feb 7, 2013

Juicy J, is an American rapper, record producer and Academy Award-winning songwriter. He is best known as co-founder and a member of the duo Three 6 Mafia. He is also the younger brother of fellow member, Project Pat. His second solo album, Hustle Till I Die, was released June 16, 2009. He won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp".
In December 2011 Juicy J confirmed rumors that he was the newest member of Wiz Khalifa's "Taylor Gang." He is featured with other members of Taylor Gang on the cover of Source Magazine's May 2012 issue. Juicy J is most notable for his crunk style of rapping, highlighted by his patented "heavy-breathing" and "stomping" background sound effects. Juicy J's production style is characterized by fast-rolling high hats, sharp snares, and deep cinematic bass. He also incorporates samples from classic soul artists such as Willie Hutch, David Ruffin, and Isaac Hayes.
Since inking the deal with Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang imprint, Juicy J has proven his worth, putting out mixtape after mixtape, killing feature after feature. The Memphis emcee has been putting in heavy work and to his fortune, it's all paying off. He's got an album coming out and it's called Stay Trippy.
He didn't rack up a billion YouTube views, wind the clock back to "Hammertime," or break bread with Obama, but in 2012, Juicy J kept poles and palms greased with his hypnotic strip-club anthem "Bandz a Make Her Dance." But "Bandz," with its handclaps, wasn't just a monster in the club. The lusty single became inescapable, spawning remixes including features from French "Pop That" Montana, as well as a 26-week, chart-crushing run that had it at #9 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs list at press time.
