Lil Wayne
Mar 17, 2013
"Love Me" is the third single from Lil Wayne's upcoming tenth studio album I Am Not a Human Being II (2013). The single was released on January 18th. The song, produced by Mike WiLL Made It, features guest appearances from fellow rappers Drake and Future. The single has sold over 500,000 copies and certified Gold by the RIAA.
The song became a top ten hit, peaking at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming Lil Wayne's 18th top ten single on that chart. It also became Future's first top 10 hit and most successful single to date.
When Lil Wayne promises you a "bedroom full of water and three women," you can be pretty sure he's not exaggerating. And he wasn't, based on the evidence he dropped on Valentine's Day in his "Love Me" video. The Hannah Lux Davis-directed clip is a kind of post-apocalyptic male fantasy, featuring lingerie-clad hotties swinging on a swing set, and the aforementioned three young ladies giving Wayne, and each other, back rubs in an ornate, flooded bedroom.
