Everlast, Martyr Inc., and EMI Label Services will be donating $0.65, the labels' entire proceeds from each each iTunes download of the new single "Long Time" from May 8th through May 22nd, to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The cause is close to the heart of Everlast, as his young daughter has cystic fibrosis. Everlast is asking friends at radio to help us build awareness and is available for station interviews.
Following eight albums as the lead singer for Chicago's Alkaline Trio, Matt Skiba has teamed with AFI's Hunter Burgan on bass and My Chemical Romance's Jarrod Alexander on drums on his his new band, Matt Skiba And The Sekrets. The first single "Voices" is from the debut album Babylon on Redball Music via Century Media. Matt Skiba And The Sekrets will be heading out for their first-ever tour in June.
Metric will release their fifth, full-length studio album, Synthetica, on June 12th. It will be self-released globally on the band's own label MMI, through a joint venture partnership with Mom + Pop. The lead single, "Youth Without Youth" follows up Metric's 2010 top 15 single "Gold, Guns, Girls" and 2009's top 15 single "Help I'm Alive." Metric will be playing the Sasquatch Music Festival and Lollapalooza this summer.
The four piece from Atlanta have toured with Cage The Elephant, Brand New, and Manchester Orchestra. Their debut album, Garden Window, was released November 15, 2011. It was produced by Andy Hull & Robert McDowell from Manchester Orchestra. O'Brother are touring with Thrice through June 16th.
