1) Can you offer a brief journey of your musical career thus far from your perspective?
Born into a musical family; first solo in church around 8 years of age; started doing professional singing jobs around 16; went to be on PTL at 17 and the rest is history. My musical career has been an interesting journey full of highs and lows but always a blessing to me and to others because of the messages I sing about......love, joy, peace, messages that make the world a better place. Even though I have been doing this for years, I still feel the best is yet to come!
2) What is the main message that you hope to share with audiences through the new album "Thy Kingdom Come"?
I hope "Thy Kingdom Come" will leave its listeners empowered. I want God's people to be reminded that they have authority in Jesus Christ. The resurrection power that lives within is greater than any problem or force in the world.
3) What is the story behind the single "Test of Time"?
"Test of Time" is a great song. The music and the message are strong and it's written by Mano Hanes. The song is all about God's awesomeness and faithfulness. In a world where everything and everybody changes, it's good to know that God stays the same and will remain who He is throughout eternity.
4) Why is this lifestyle (recording, singing, traveling) one that you have been willing to follow?
It's what I was born to do - it's my path.
5) Tell us your funniest or strangest radio experience thus far. (We can change the names of the innocent or guilty parties.)
I don't have one, or at least I can't think of one.
6) What is your favorite song to perform live?
"Hallelujah Praise" - we have fun!
7) Can you pick a favorite song from the new album?
"You're the Only One," it's full of passion! It describes my relationship with God.
8) What motivates you or challenges you as you continue to create and perform music?
Life, the youth of today and my love for God.
9) Imagine life without music. What might you try your hand at?
Being a full-time mom or an artist as in a painter. I'm also a licensed cosmetologist.
10) Who has had the biggest impact on your life?
My mom and Andrae Crouch in music.
