1. Share a moment in your career that you’ll always remember.
Driving through Times Square right after 9/11. I had never seen it so empty of people yet full of American flags. I was working at Jammin 105, The Heart & Soul of New York, in the Hippodrome building. Kevin, the building overnight security man was a New York City Firefighter who answered the first responder 9/11 call, I'll never forget the stories he shared nor the privilege I felt being on the air during that tragic period. Another moment equaled 10 hours straight, on the air at The Fish Atlanta during Atlanta's Snowmageddon. It's one of the most infamous weather events in Atlanta history, In 2014, two inches of snow brought the city to its knees, and people were trapped in cars that were stranded on backroads, city streets, and all three highways for up to a day. Over a million people were jammed on the major highways in Atlanta because everyone in the city was attempting to head home out of the snow at the exact same time. It was a blessing to provide on-air support, information, and encouragement through this unnerving time.
2. If you weren’t working in radio what else do you think you’d do?

When you feel defensive, get curious instead.
4. How do you continue learning and growing?
Input is one of my strengths. I'm in the middle of COA's Emotional Fit Leadership for Women series. It's a deep-dive series of workshops to build your mental health & emotional fitness skills. COA offers live classes, guided by therapists.
I highly recommend their teachings, they offer complimentary 'mini' tune-ups so you can get an understanding of their practice. https://www.joincoa.com/classes.
5. What have you been up to lately?
J'apprends aussi le français. Translated, that says that I am learning French. This was a 2021 New Year's goal that is still happening. Yay!
6. Tell us about someone who you really respect and why?
I respect the person who shows up, we don't know everyone's story but I know for some getting out of bed in the morning is the toughest thing for them to do whether it's a new mother working the morning show or someone struggling with depression. You can't make a difference if you don't show up.
7. What’s something about you that would surprise most people?
People seem to find it amusing that I was an extra in Prince's Purple Rain.
8. What’s your favorite room at home and why?
Kitchen! Cooking is my love language. Please let me cook something wonderful and feed you :)
9. Finish this sentence: My day doesn’t start properly until I...
Spend time with God (pray, devos, meditate) exercise (Peloton, yoga, boot camp) water, coffee, and egg whites.
10. What do you do to unwind and chill?
Lately, it's been with "Call the Midwife" on Netflix.
