Joe Nichols Celebrates #1
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), BMI and the CMA hosted a #1 party on Tuesday, September 16th to celebrate the songwriters and publishers behind "Yeah," recorded by Joe Nichols. The three-week chart-topping single became co-writer Ashley Gorley's sixteenth #1 song and Nichols' sixth, and marked co-writer Bryan Simpson's first trip to the top of the charts. Co-producers Tony Brown and Mickey Jack Cones were also honored, and publishers Combustion Music, Sea Gayle Music and Warner/Chappell Music Publishing as well as label Red Bow Records were on hand to congratulate the group.
