CPR Promotional Check-Up - Jul 25, 2013
July 25, 2013
As exciting as having a standup of an artist can be for taking photos at shows, Larry Jessup at G-105 and Kiss in Raleigh took it to a WHOLE new level with 1D the other night. It required "a big ass green screen and a whole lot of photo shop patience." But I'm sure you'll agree that it was worth it. http://www.g105.com/photos/main/one-direction--pnc-arena-357654/#/0/21045503
Taking The Plunge
I love Mix in Boise. They're a Hot AC with an occasional CHR or Rhythmic vibe. Translated: they're really fun. It's the summer. What do people do? They get married. So why not do it at a waterpark.
AMP in Calgary has been on one of the promotional rolls that you see once a decade. Swap Your Wife For A New Life, the Pink caravan 45 hours to Miami, Live In Pink which might be the biggest Radio promotion of 2013 and then Birthday Suit & Tie. And those are great but when it comes to the stuff that really matters, they nailed it.
The market was hit by the biggest floods in it's history and they've done a fantastic job helping out. As we're allegedly licensed to do.
From Paul Kaye to his staff:
There have been so many moments over the last few days where our team has exceeded listener expectations and delivered engaging, relevant and helpful content to a city that was looking for information and companionship. One, of the many highlights, that is worth sharing is the #calgarystrong song that was created. In just 24 hours the video has over 100,000 views and growing. A powerful idea by the team so much so that late yesterday Lite 95.9 imitated the video and launched their own.
Kudos has to go to Ben who came up with the idea of doing a song and sourced/edited all the many clips, Pat who mixed the track and who said "you have probably already thought of putting a you tube video together with photos right?" - we hadn't - and then Stephen for going through the photos and making the video.
