Did You Know?
I'm an author? http://encyclopediaofradiopromotions.com
And A Blogger
That would be at www.cpr-promotions.com
One of the stations had the opportunity to have a back-of-the-bus wrap. A giant, full-back piece of art. As opposed to just having a logo and music position, I suggested that the art be a reproduction of the front of the bus. With a determined looking driver and terrified looking passengers in the back. Under the "drivers window" would be a station busboard that said "(format) That Will Run Your Over". I'm kind of vague on who shot this down; either the transit company or the city. But c'mon: this is one of those things that would get you massive, ridiculous market buzz and would also get e-mailed to about 40,000,000 worldwide.
Match The Mouth
One of the stations has a walk-in dental place. 24 hours. Multiple locations. An obvious sponsorship for them would be if you have any kind of station team. Softball. Basketball. Hockey. Sports that tends to lend themselves to dental injuries.
The other option is to post close-up shots of about ten smiles and match them to a celebrity's name for a prize on-line.
A Back To School Methodology
An award-winning CHR to-remain-nameless has a major Back To School event in August at a mall. The client has given them a few $1000 gift cards to giveaway. (Again: McDonalds has gift cards. Call it "cash") The methodology to give them away? They're going to get some school lockers, set them up and give away combinations. Your combo opens the locker, you get the money.
