CPR Promotional Check-Up - Nov 14, 2014
November 14, 2014
As opposed to getting on the air and spending 30 days telling her listeners to get screened for breast cancer, Sarah Pepper actually did it. http://hothits957.cbslocal.com/2014/10/14/sarah-pepper-got-her-first-mammogram
The Grocery Store Dash
In the next 2 weeks we will all have our hands out asking people to donate food. I've always like this promotion because there's a payoff for a listener and it really pops on TV.
- You get a grocery store client
- You get a listener
- You run through the store grabbing as much food as you can in a dial position number of seconds
- The listener does the same thing
- You donate your haul to the food shelf
- The listener takes theirs home
Great Moments In Listener Incentivized Marketing
I've always loved giving listeners the assignment of marketing the station because at the end of the day, I'm pretty lazy. That's what Show Us (Station), Live With and Fugitive are.
Newcap's done it several times with t-shirts. The $10,000 T-Shirt in Ottawa. Fredericton had a couple of dozen listeners in pink t-shirts for a month to win Bieber tickets and Hot in Sudbury just did a promotion with #getcaughtbeinghot.
They've given out hundreds of shirts that people are living in with the hopes of getting spotted for cash.
Marketing: it IS Rocket Science.
