A Scary Poll For Friday
Every year some local publication invariably does a "The Best Of..." issue and has the readers vote on the "best" in seemingly 300 categories. It's usually a pretty big issue for these papers or magazines. What if, for Halloween, you mock it and do a "Worst Of..." poll on the website. Or "Scariest" poll. The scariest movie theater. The scariest public bathroom. The scariest place to go on a first date. Etc.
Toys For Tots
One of the stations just got their annual request to help out. This can be so so so much more then doing a day-long remote at a mall. Option #1 would be to open it up to the highschools and the one that collects the most toys for donation, wins an artist, or at the very least, the Night guy mixing, at their prom. 'DVD just did that with a food drive and a local highschool won prom.
Option #2 would be to do this with offices and workplaces. The one that collects the most wins a staff retreat/getaway at a ski area or at the beach.
Club Cube
Remembering that most of your listeners spend more time at their desk then they do with their family, what about giving them some entertainment. Give them a break. Create a party vibe. But how? In a sterile cubical? Well, record your mix show at the club on Saturday night and have it downloadable off the website. They can put on their headphones and listen to whatever they may have missed if they didn't come out and join you on the weekend.
